“Mercy Divine” is being released for Divine Mercy Sunday, which falls on the Sunday after Easter, but its message of Christ’s mercy is relevant all year round. The song invites listeners to reflect on God’s infinite love and mercy.  Laura Huval, a Grammy-nominated Catholic singer-songwriter, aims to share the Gospel through her music. Her peaceful, prayerful songs cover themes of faith, hope, love and trusting in God. “My prayer is that my music helps people encounter the living God and experience His love, peace and mercy,” Huval said. 

Huval’s powerful and prayer vocals on “Mercy Divine” are accompanied by an exquisite piano track laid down by Grammy-Nominated musician, Eric Adcock. Grammy winning sound engineer, Tony Daigle, recorded the song and also co-produced the track with Huval. The song was co-written by Laura Huval along with fellow songwriters Ross King, Patrick Mayberry, and Dana Catherine.

Laura is a native of the culturally rich community of Cecilia, Louisiana, located in the region of Acadiana. In 2020, Laura's family band, Sweet Cecilia, was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Regional Roots Music Album Category for their "Tribute to Al Berard" Album. Huval was nominated for the 2021 OffBEAT Magazine “Best of the Beat Awards” in two categories:  Best Gospel Artist and Best Country/Folk/Singer-Songwriter Artist.  In 2019, Huval founded Laura Huval Music Ministrywith the mission of “Sharing the Gospel one song at a time” through Parish Retreats and Missions, Eucharistic Adoration, Praise & Worship Concerts, Catholic School Faculty Retreats, Youth Ministry Events and more.
